Joe Strummer 003: The 101’ers Years 2LP Vinyl

Pre-order Date: October 8th, 2026
Release Date: November 20th, 2026

Dark Horse Records is proud to release Joe Strummer 003: The 101'ers Years, bringing together studio, rare & unreleased recordings from Joe Strummer’s pre-Clash band, The 101'ers.

The 2LP edition features the complete studio recordings on the first LP, with highlights from the basement tapes and demos on the second. The album artwork also includes a foreword by Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock and illustrations & writings by Joe Strummer from the Strummer archive.

The 101'ers took their name from 101 Walterton Road in Maida Vale, where the band lived together in a squat, and became regulars on London’s mid-’70s pub rock scene. Their sound mixed rock &roll, R&B and rockabilly, just as punk was beginning to emerge.

After the Sex Pistols opened for the band in 1976, Strummer was drawn to the new punk movement and soon left to join The Clash. The 101'ers brief run captures an important moment just before British punk changed everything.
